That means it’s time for those weekend plans and for another installment of our Fashion Blogger Spotlight! Last time, we met up with the gorgeous Belgian blogger Marianne Nykjaer. Today, we put the spotlight on American beauty, Jolene of Boardroom Blonde. Jolene is a law student and full-time fashionista! She has a colorful, feminine approach to fashion, and often offers up professional styles for the plus size woman! Jolene is a plus size blogger YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Seven Months
What or who inspired you to become a fashion blogger? What led you to it?
I was already making YouTube videos and frankly I don’t know why I wasn’t blogging!
Do you blog full-time, for fun, as a hobby? Share your evolution!
I’m part time as I am also in law school. I’m open to seeing where blogging might lead me!
What is your favorite asset? Your legs, arms, waist? How do you play that up?
My brain! Oh… and then my hair! I’m all about big hair as often as possible.
Finding special one-of-a-kind or unique pieces is challenging with limited options available in plus sizes. As far as fit goes, I sometimes struggle to fit jackets and tops as I have large arms. Another thing I find frustrating is the near lack of high-waisted tailored slacks available.
What’s your favorite thing about being plus size?
I love being curvy! Right now is an awesome time to have a fuller figure because retailers are starting to cater to us!
I love connecting with women all over the world! It’s fantastic to talk about something I’m passionate about with so many wonderful women!

What do you think about where plus size fashion is today versus a few years back?
It’s so much better but we still have a ling way to go! We need less basics and more special pieces!

Buy the dress & wear it! I recently just started wearing bodycon dresses & it’s been very empowering!
